Guiding Principles

  • You are alive. 

  • Being alive includes 4 phases. These are:

    • nourishment 

    • change

    • release

    • growth. 

  • Aliveness Phases can be seen most easily through the example of our physical body. 

    • We nourish ourselves with food, that creates biological change, our bodies then release waste products that we no longer need, and this leads to our body's growth and continued maintenance to stay alive.  ​

  • Since we are most familiar with the physical aspects we will use them as an anchor to explore the other alive components of our beings.  We do this so we can embrace our entire experience of being alive and the change and growth available to us as multi-dimensional beings.  

  • Our additional alive components are mental, emotional and spiritual (these may evolve as my understanding of all this evolves, but these are my names for the components right now).  

  • Now I'll describe how we can understand each of the 4 phases (nourishment, change, release and growth) through the 4 components of aliveness (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual).  Feel into these as you read them and feel the possibilities in understanding your entire framework of aliveness through this lens.

  • Nourishment is sustenance, fuel and food. 

    • Physical: the food that comes from the earth

    • Mental: ideas and possibilities

    • Emotional: care and understanding

    • Spiritual: connection with Source, Nature, Universe, God, and each other.

  • Change is processing, learning, and a willingness to play with new possibilities and realities

    • Physical: your body's billions of processes that occur that allow you to physically grow​

    • Mental: when you realize you had one idea or thought about something, but actually based on new ideas and learning you are seeing other ideas or thoughts as ones you want to play with, experiment with, and potentially commit to.

    • Emotional: when you see that the way you were emotionally working with a situation isn't the only option.  The moment you see you have other options for the emotions that come forward based on a certain situation or life experience.

    • Spiritual: when you see you did believe certain things about God, Source, Nature, Life and now you have additional ideas about how we are connected and what your spiritual connection feels like.

  • Release is letting go of what no longer serves you. 

    • Physical: elimination, excretion, through going to the bathroom, sweating, vomiting, or blowing our nose.  Any physical release of something your physical body no longer needs.

    • Mental: letting go of ideas, beliefs, thoughts, mental constructions that no longer serve you.

    • Emotional: allowing emotions to move through you, releasing them through movement of your physical body, tears - letting your waters flow.  Allowing yourself to feel the emotions that come up in a physical release.

    • Spiritual: letting go of beliefs that keep you from feeling the oneness of all things and having access to your inner wisdom and connection with all.

  • ​Growth is expansion into a new reality

    • Physical: our bodies take up more space​

    • Mental: we learn new ideas, take in new information

    • Emotional: things that used to paralyze us or scare us we are now able to face and overcome

    • Spiritual: we gain confidence in our connection with Source and oneness and live our lives in integrity with it more and more, in our special way.​​
